For safety, liability, and legal compliance reasons, 1st Stop Recovery can only release a vehicle to an individual who possesses a valid driver’s license. Once a vehicle leaves our facility it will be operated on public roadways, and Federal law requires that anyone operating a motor vehicle be properly licensed. Releasing a vehicle to an unlicensed individual could create significant safety and liability risks for all parties involved. Therefore, a valid government-issued driver’s license must be presented before any vehicle will be released, regardless of ownership or authorization status.

I, the undersigned, represent and affirm that I am authorized by the registered owner, legal owner, or responsible party to retrieve the vehicle and/or personal property described below from the possession of 1st Stop Recovery.

By signing this document, I certify that I have the authority and permission from the vehicle owner or responsible party to take possession of the vehicle and/or any personal property contained within it. I understand that 1st Stop Recovery is relying on this representation in releasing the vehicle and/or property to me.

I further acknowledge and agree that once the vehicle and/or personal property is released to me, 1st Stop Recovery, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, and affiliates shall be released, discharged, and held harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or disputes arising out of or related to the release of the vehicle and/or personal property to me, including any claims made by the registered owner, lienholder, insurer, or any other third party.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1st Stop Recovery from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that may arise as a result of the vehicle or property being released to me.

I understand that providing false information or misrepresenting my authority may subject me to civil liability and/or criminal prosecution.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this authorization and release and that I am voluntarily accepting possession of the vehicle and/or personal property.

I confirm that I have received, reviewed, and had the opportunity to inspect the Personal Property Inventory and Vehicle Condition Report provided by 1st Stop Recovery. I confirm that the information contained in these documents accurately reflects the contents of the vehicle and the visible condition of the vehicle at the time of release. I agree that the vehicle and any personal property returned to me are satisfactory, and I accept the vehicle and property in their present condition. I further acknowledge that 1st Stop Recovery shall not be responsible for any items not listed on the inventory or for any condition issues not noted on the Vehicle Condition Report at the time of release.
